Our Tattle-Tale Tips for a Loved One Who May Need Help

At Granny's Helping Hands Pa, Inc., one of the questions we hear most often is "Does my loved one really need a helping hand?" The tattle-tale tips below may indicate that a loved one is in need of our services.
  • Poor personal hygiene — Look at your loved one's appearance. Is clothing dirty or unkempt? Is your loved on neglecting personal hygiene?
  • Spoiled food — Check the refrigerator, freezer, and kitchen drawers. Look for spoiled food and items that have passed their expiration dates
  • Bad food choices — Has your loved one's declining health prompted them to neglect proper nutrition and purchase more junk and convenience food? Is he or she losing weight?
  • Poor home cleanliness — Notice the floors and furniture. Have unstable hands spilled food and drinks that have not been cleaned up?
  • Piles of bills and mails — Check to see if the mail is being opened and correspondence is appropriate. Are bills being paid on time? Are appointments being kept?
  • Odd daily routines — Ask neighbors and close friends to observe and report to you your loved one's daily routine. Drop by unexpectedly
